[nivo_slider width=”640″ height=”400″ link=”none” speed=”600″ delay=”3000″ navigation=”1″ bullets=”1″ pauseonhover=”0″ effect=”fade”] サステイナビジョン代表取締役下田屋が、2014 年8月31日～9月5日にスウェーデン・ストックホルムで開催された「World Water Week 2014」国際会議に参加いたしました。[nivo_slider width=”640″ height=”400″ link=”none” speed=”600″ delay=”3000″ navigation=”1″ bullets=”1″ pauseonhover=”0″ effect=”fade”] Mr Takeshi Shimotaya, Managing Director of Sustainavision, participated in World Water Week 2014, which was annual international conference held in Stockholm in Sweden from 31st of August to 5th of September 2014.
Stockholm International Water Institute(SIWI)の主催で「エネルギーと水」をテーマに開催されました。この国際会議には、世界各地から約3,000人の国際機関、政府関係者、NGO、大学関係者、企業関係者が参加。この国際会議はテーマに沿って、様々な内容が議論されていました。オープニングセッションでは、全てに関係する内容としては「全ての水に関する課題の解決策は、ローカルな解決策である」を協調。それぞれの地域での水の課題と解決策があり、その解決策は、他で適用できるものではないということ。
下田屋は、企業に関わる水問題のセッションを選んで参加。そこでは企業とNGOとの協調行動、ウォータースチュワードシップに則った活動、またサプライチェーンを含めた水資源の問題の先進的な取り組みの紹介があり、活発な議論が展開されていました。特に企業とNGOとの連携が進み、水の課題への対処は、既に企業責任だから実施するという考え方を超え、実施しなければならない状況に来ているということが協調され、たとえ競合会社であっても協調行動とサプライヤーの共有を実施するということでした。
この国際会議を踏まえて、海外での水リスクに関する意識や課題への取り組みなどメディア、また、セミナーなどを通じて日本へお伝えしたいと思っております。

This is huge international conference which around 3,000 people from international organization, states and companies, academia from all over the world participated in. This international conference had a theme and the theme in this year was “Energy and Water”. Professor John Biscoe, 2014 Stockholm Water Prize Laureate, emphasized “Every solution to water challenges is a local solution”in opening plenary. Mr Takeshi Shimotaya selected and attended company-related sessions and was able to obtain information about collaborative action between companies and NGO, water stewardship, and advanced activities including addressing supply chain water related issues.
